THAILAND - Vacation - 08/2006

We spent 11 days on vacation in Thailand. 8 days in Phuket and 3 days in Bangkok. Thailand is a dream, white sand, clear and transparent waters... paradise sceneries! Let's start with our hotel in Phuket: privileged localization, private beach and Bungalôs Thai style.http://www.thavornbeachvillage.com

Entrance and Reception
Swimming pool and Bungalôs.
Our terrace and the view.

This is the private beach in front of the hotel:

Here the tide was low, but the scenery is still lovely!

PHI PHI ISLAND, one of the most famous places in Thailand. Here is located the Maya Bay, place where the movie "The beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed:

Did you already hear of "Tuk Tuk"? They are very famous in Thailand. They are the "popular taxis". If you want a little of adventure during your travel, you have to take a Tuk Tuk once!! but do not forget to put your seat belt, once you forget it, you can fly way!

And now a little bit about Bangkok...

A very nice Dinner Cruise, thai food, at the River of Kings.

Bangkok is an interesting city, big, crowded, but kindly people, special places and a lot of shoppings!!! You can buy everything here, but if you are not interested in buying things you can visit fascinate places like Wat Phra Kaew, Grand Palace, floating market...

The Gand Palace is the most visited place in Bangkok, with one square mile, covers the architectural and cultural history of the country. It remains the preeminent symbol of the monarchy and is used for many royal cerimonies. The Esmerald Buddha, revered as a symbol of Buddhism... but it is not allowed to take pictures of Esmerald Buddha, sorry.

The last night in Bangkok we meet some friends from Australia and spent the night in a Disco:
