Kyoto - Our first "trip" in Japan!

Kyoto is a small and very tradicional city in Kansai area, located just 40 minutes from Osaka by train. We went to Kyoto to meet our japonese friend Sonoko, who lived in Brazil for 2 years, which Karina met on the airplane going back to Germany!! She speaks portuguese very well and it was a lot of fun spending the day with her.
Well, let's talk about the city:

Kyoto has many "Temples" (Tera) and famous places to go . This Temple which we can see at the picture is called Kiyomizu Tera, which means "pure water" and a lot of people go there to drink water from the Fountains. It is the most famous Temple with more than 1000 years. From it you can see the Kyoto city.

Gueixas are also famous in the city. They are dancers and it is very commum to see them walking around the city or if you go to the Theater Gion Kobu Kaburenjo to appreciate the spectacle. There are places that you can dress as a Gueixa and also make the make-up (maquilagem) and take some pictures just to remember.

Another traditional ritual is the "tea ceremony". First you have to observe how they make the tea, sitting on the floor in a special room. When it is offered, you must to bent yourself and then you can drink it in three times. It is a ritual, in which what really matters is feel the moment.
